Description: Description from the dealer: "A super unique piece that shows multiple stages of pegmatitic mineralization. First, the tourmaline crystallized. Next, fluids dissolved away the core of the tourmaline, leaving behind a thin outer shell and a few small dark fragments that weren’t completely etched away. Finally, the quartz began to crystallize, growing both around the tourmaline and infilling it. The end result is a quartz crystal showing growth interruption that still managed to complete its termination on both sides despite the tourmaline shell blocking the way."
