Description: Calcite on basalt. Simple rhombs of transparent calcite to 11mm on edge rest on a bed of 'sugary' looking calcite, which has a smooth surface. Specimen is 10cm x 8cm. Self-collected 1995 from Loch Bharcasaig, Duirinish, Isle of Skye.
