Description: A photograph of the famous Willamette meteorite found in Oregon and now on display in the American Museum of Natural History in New York. The 6th largest meteorite known and one lacking an impact crater, leading scientists to conclude that the fall actually occurred elsewhere and that the meteorite had been transported to its discovery location as a glacial erratic during the Missoula Floods at the end of the last Ice Age.
