Description: Rhodonite with Tremolite
Chaobuleng Mine, Dongwu Qí, Xilinguole, Inner Mongolia A. R., China
130.0 x 68.0 x 58.0 mm
Lustrous, flattened blades of Rhodonite form a large subparallel, seemingly doubly-terminated group measuring 130 x 55 x 36 mm, accompanied by a similar perpendicular group that is cleaved on the base. The Rhodonite is mostly opaque and light-pink colored, with portions that are gemmy and cherry-red. Although there is some damage, it is masked by the ragged crystal terminations.
