Description: I had to carefully negotiate the huge snowdrift to begin the descent. A slip here would have been diastrous and I only had a hiking stick - should have had an ice-axe really. Fortunately the snow was slightly soft. If it had been rock-hard neve I wouldn't have attempted it.
