Description: Smoky floater with schorl crystal and probably clinozoisite. The long-abandoned Stecklenberg quarry is located in the famous Brocken granite, known for pegmatite minerals. There was one single find around 1900 that produced museum quality specimens of smoky quartz associated with schorl prisms and rose fluorite octahedrons - a gorgeous combination.
