Mineral: Dioptase
Locality: Renéville, Kindanba District, Pool Department, Republic of the Congo
Description: The School has a CRAZY amount of Dioptase from the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville). From 1910 to 1958, this area was part of French Equatorial Africa so it naturally makes sense that the Paris School of Mines would have A LOT of specimens from this region.
