Azurite - 61mm x 40mm X 15mm.
Mineral: Azurite
Dimensions: 61mm x 40mm X 15mm.

Description: It is a really super specimen with a large single Azurite crystal and a very small secondary parallel crystal on the rear. It has growths of possibly Willemite (?) on one side. The lustre is superb. It is a superb crystal and very interesting in the fact that it was one of the specimen that Sam Gordon (curator at the Philly Academy) found at Tsumeb during his expedition to Africa in 1929, and he was allowed to take half the specimens that he discovered (as once the mine manager found out about the pocket he had found, he did not want him to take any specimens!).
