Description: This is a partial fossil of an Isotelus maximus which was found near Richmond, Indiana (most likely the Brookville, Franklin County, Indiana area). Whole specimens are very rare to find, but fragments are fairly common to find throughout the Ordovician outcrops near there. Isotelus maximus is the state fossil of Ohio.
