Locality: Felsenschlag, Gehlberg, Ilm-Kreis, Thuringia/Thüringen, Germany

Description: The Felsenschlag area is known mostly for thunder egg agates. Calcite is not a very common mineral there. This specimen shows a 3 cm crystal group with baryte which is very fine for the locality. The specimen used to belong to the Noske collection, the 17.000 pieces were mostly donated to the Hamburg University.
