Mineral: Quartz with Galena
Locality: Kullu District, Himachal Pradesh, India
Description: Himalaya Mtns at 9,000 to 13,000 feet Large galena crystal attached to a quartz group Due to the encrusted surface concealing the galena this one was a challenge to identify. Finally someone chipped off a corner to reveal the galena. Its very heavy weight made galena a candidate from the start.
