Nurbo, the thumbnail glue can often go with water, just let the specimen in water several hours, and then ou can remove the glue, that becames white when ok for removing.

the only quick way would be sanding,but it can create damages in the Kunzite,because it can cleave.
The sand hardness must be under the less hard minerals on your specimen.

Seems the thomas Range beryls are like this when taken off matrix,mine is on matrix,but seems to be complete too.
It's only 5mm..
