PostPosted: Jul 02, 2010 21:31    Post subject: Copper Crystals, Anhui Province, China

Have love for copper specimens but very unfamiliar with material from China.

There are many copper mines in the Anhui District of China judging from what is listed in mindat (one source indicates 100+ metal mines in the region) but I have been unable to find an image of a well crystalized copper specimen from the region on mindat.

A broader question:

If reasonably confined to a short list can anyone offer a summary of documented sites in China that have produced well crystalized copper xl groups? Further, literature references and/or website images of what one can expect from these Chinese mines?
Even better, specimens from your collection for which you are certain of locations?

Thanks,

George

Hello,

Posting this question on copper crystals from China a second time
since there was no response on the first round.

Thanks

I have yet to see a well-crystallized copper from China, even the fake ones are just "blisters."
