I came across more video that I think was worth watching when feeling lazy. It is IMO better than the Prospectors series on the Weather Channel because it has less manufactured drama and more information (and also no annoying low-quality heavy metal music). The video was posted to YouTube by Gems TV, and although I am only posting the link to their Brazil episode, it looks like they have more episodes that may also be of interest.

This episode shows us amethyst mining in Rio Grande do Sol, topaz mining at Ouro Preto, and tourmaline mining at Pederneira and Cruzeiro.

Thanks for the link and knowledge that these are on YouTube. Gems TV was bought by JTV a couple years ago. However, YouTube has memory, they don't erase videos.
