Thin blue/purple layer over milky/colorless fluorite is typical for Gillheads mine fluorite. Here's one from another North Yorkshire mine that shows the same thing but even more so.

A bit of a curiosity, this one. A fossil crinoid stem replaced by smithsonite so a pseudomorph of a pseudomorph. From Hurst mines, Reeth, Swaledale. fOV about 10mm.

A scan of an old photo of a piece I collected about 25 years ago. Fluorite with baryte and hemimorphite from Sun Vein, Coldstones Quarry. Specimen about 8cm across. There were literally tons of this stuff came out when the quarry broke through the Sun vein. Where is it all now?
