Joan,
I could not find any other place to ask my question, so I'm going to try it here. Is there a way to contact other members of the forum privately for business purposes? I have been enjoying the pictures of the South Carolina dig and would like to contact that person to see about purchasing some specimens. I respect the Forum and its rule about no business. I'm hoping that there is a way to do this without disrupting anything.

Many Forums include the "personal message" option permiting members direct contact between them. We don't accept this option due to the high number of spammers that try to publish commercial posts or try to offer merchandise here. They are not visible here due to our efforts to avoid them, but if we release our strong control, then FMF will look a little bit as a bazaar and I'm sure that people will feel uncomfortable with this.

If Amethystguy wishes, he can publish his email address in a post (using the regular skill: https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?t=74 ). If he doesn't, then we should respect his decision.

Jordi

Jordi,
Now I would like to know how I can get amethystguy to see this exchange. Does he automatically get it? It sounded like he was interested last week.
Thanks for all your help.
