Michael,
I have a question.
How many thumbnails have you got ?
A uniform quality (to my eyes ) in so many number.
I hope it will continue more and more.

Hi Philippe,
Thank you for the complement. Our thumbnail collection (My wife Laura and I are building this collection together) currently stands at 667 catalogued specimens. Also, there are about 150 duplicates which have been removed from the collection as better pieces were acquired. About 70% of the collection has been photographed, so there will be quite a few more to post, once I get busy photographing the remaining pieces.
Michael

During the nearly 100 years that the Tsumeb Mine was active, it produced countless numbers of spectacular mineral specimens. Among these were unique dolomite casts many with interesting associations. There is a good article discussing these specimens in Rocks and Minerals, Vol. 91(4): 334-344.
