Hi Gérard.

Nice to hear you.

In Colombia already fewer emeralds are staying.
Gradually become less. They´re taking planes up to Paris.

You are right, these are specimens jajaja.
Whoever wants to see real emeralds please does not get lost the reference thread of Fiebre Verde.

Thank you so much for your kind comment.

Best regards.

Calcite from Guadalajara, Spain.

You are right Firmo, there are fewer and fewer emeralds left in Colombia :-)
“La Lechuga” (The lettuce is Spanish) has left Colombia for the second time in more than 300 years and is now standing next to Mona Lisa in the Louvre museum in celebration of the 2017 France-Colombia year.

This monstrance was constructed in Bogota in the early 18th century.
It has 1,485 Colombian emeralds and 28 South African diamonds built into it (In addition to the 168 Indian amethysts, 62 pearls, 13 Sri Lankan rubies, and a yellow sapphire). Indeed a monstrous monstrance...

Sorry for the poor quality picture – this is just a sneak preview of the Lechuga before it gets officially unveiled next week.
Much better quality photos are available on the internet.

I must humbly admit that the where-to-see-the-best-emeralds contest is fierce in Paris at the moment.
