Love it Kevin.
I have some where there are calcite or aragonite crystals within the fossil 'pockets', so they do make it across the rock-mineral divide.

Some fossils are great mineral specimens too! If anyone has one of those emerald snails from Colombia, or opal pine cones from Australia, and wants to throw it away because it's a fossil, I'll be happy to remove that offensive material from your property ;))
