Quartz (variety jasper) from Montjuïc, Barcelona ciudad, Barcelona. España.

It was collected in the Montjuïc mountain, located in the city of Barcelona. Nowadays, it´s impossible to obtain samples with this size. A classic specimen and locality.

From the Arguijo collection.

Dedicated to our friend and host Jordi, who lives close to Montjuic.

A classic specimen from Berbes. Ex Arguijo collection. From a 1980 find.

 Description:
Group of fluorite crystals with polysynthetic growths on the faces, translucent and with a blue to violet tone (depending on the incident light). They are accompanied by "book" shape lenticular baryte crystals.

Gypsum from El Palaí, Carboneras, Almería, Spain.

Collected in 2009 near the old gold mine of El Palaí. The area is rich in sulphides, mainly pyrite, that have been strongly altered and leached, producing the precipitation of this kind of gypsum in the altered volcanic rocks.
