A really lovely structure of the vanadinites that seem to consist of many small crystals that formed larger hexagonal structures. Very beautiful and not that common (though Morocco produced many different shapes and habits of vanadinite)!

But are you sure this if from Mibladen and not rather from Taouz? The orange colour, the matrix and the strange crystallography, I know such vanadinites rather from Taouz. But that does not mean anything, just wanted to mention my small doubts :-)

We are very used to seeing Moroccan Vanadinites. When you see them, you mentally think that they are from Taouz with the classic association of manganese oxides. But it turns out that one of the merchants who offered them claimed that they were from Mibladen and not from Taouz. When many of us believed that they were from Taouz, a piece appeared that had small crystals of the characteristic Laminar Barite from Mibladen underneath. And precisely Barite in Taouz has not been found (although thick Barite crystals have been found in the relatively nearby Mefis).

Once again, Jordi Fabre's sharp vision solved the problem and on this occasion, the Moroccan merchant was right. Although specimens with Goethite or manganese oxides have been seen in Mibladen, this type of specimen improves the quality of the pieces with manganese oxides that had been found up to now there. Therefore we can consider it as a "novelty" from Munich Show 2022.

Enrique, are you sure that the last specimen is an aragonite? Looking at the perfect square sections and the pyramidal terminations seen in some crystals, I think it may rather be a natrolite. I am not sure at this moment but I think that similar natrolites have been found in Morocco as well (at the Imilchil area).

Otherwise, congratulations for your great collection of Moroccan minerals.

Best regards,

Felix

You are absolutely right, it is a Natrolite, and the locality is Tighiste (Tirrhist), Comune de Anemzi, Agoudim, Midelt Province, Draa-Tafilalet Region, Morocco.
Village located northeast of town Imilchil.
I apologize for the slip and ask the administrator to correct the error.
Thank you.
