It is nice to discover all these minerals, not often seen on the web or at shows.
Thanks

That's right. Though more and more stuff from the mines of Iran comes to the market, those minerals are still rarely seen. Interesting to see a collection presentation here that is focused on Iranian minerals.

I will try to further illustrate more crystals from my country in this topic.
But maybe I'd better ask to put them in this topic or create a new and called "Iranian Crystals" ?

Better not Hasan, you have several non-Iranian specimens in your collection, so it would have no sense...

Why you don't start a new thread devoted exclusively to the Iranian minerals?. You can do it here: Mines and Mineral Localities

Iran has been an important source of turquoise for at least 4,000 years. It was initially named by Iranians "pirouzeh" meaning "victory", and later the Arabs called it "firouzeh". In Iranian architecture, the blue turquoise was used to cover the domes of palaces because its intense blue colour was also a symbol of heaven on earth ( ref: wikipedia)

Some time ago, a friend told me that someone in the northwest of Iran had found Herkimer Quartz. It was the second time that I had learned that any quite transparent diamond Quartz was found in Iran. The first time it was reported in southeastern Iran and this time from northwestern of Iran.
To me, who lives in central Iran, it was interesting...!
