PostPosted: Sep 11, 2012 21:35    Post subject: Azeztulite - Himalaya gold ????

Hi all,

I was wondering if you could shed any light on the so-called Himalaya gold Azeztulite (TM)? It is a very bright yellow/gold colour and when I asked them what it is they told me it is a type of quartz - that was all the information they would give and the rest of the information they provide (via their website) is all metaphysical, no mineral info at all and not even chemical symbols. It looks to me like it could be dyed but I guess it is possible it could be a form of calcite??? I don't know as I am not an expert on rocks nor a geologist so I wonder if you guys would mind checking out their site and see what you think it might be???

Thanks and love your forum BTW!!

Sorry, can't attach link as the spam filter rejected it! Funny!!

Kindest regards.

Hi GneissWare,

I did see/read this interesting post but the Himalaya gold Azeztulite does look different to the "generic" Azeztulite. However, seeing that you added the brackets, you have given me the idea that I could post the link after all.

Here is the link with brackets and additional spaces to avoid spam filter:

What do you think - calcite of some sort?

Quartz, and poor quality specimens.

The colourant could be Limonite, I like the write up on this stuff "Found near the Himalayas" that narrows it down to 5 Countries,

Hi,

Thanks for the insights - when you mention the colourant could be limonite, is this something artificically added to the stone or is it more likely natural? Also, I don't really believe it is found near the Himalayas, I suspect they tell more than their fair share of porky pies regarding where the stones come from and what exactly they are (mind you, they probably don't know that much about the mineral compositions of the stones).

Cheers,

Kind regards.

It is hard to tell what leads to the color -- but I could probably duplicate it with placing the Quartz fragments in oxalic acid using really hard water, thus forming calcium oxalate, then rinsing them poorly to preserve the material in the cracks. It is a scam mineralogically, though it may harness the powers of the aliens from Ork, I mean, Azez. ;=)

Hi Kristen, There are so many ignorant (or shall I rather say, uninformed) people out there. The sad/evil part of the story is that some have no conscience or scruples and take every opportunity to make a dirty Dime out of such people. That is unfortunately the story of life. Thank goodness that there are still people around that have not succumbed to the powers of Azez.. Kindest regards :-)
