Hello Don!
Very nice Calcite from Strontian - it is very hard to get material from this locality.

Don Lum I have read through your thread and I really enjoyed the quality of your specimens. What I particularly liked was the cabinet sized Native silver from Kongsberg (Norway) and from China.

I also enjoyed some of your Chinese Rhodochrosite and Scheelite. Being a Chinese mineral collector I really enjoyed your pieces. The Wudong/Wutong mine is famous for being an equivalent to Sweet Home Mine.

I could only dream of owning some of those pieces especially a boleite of that size.

Thank you for your kind comments about the collection, Vitaliy. I look forward to seeing some of your specimens.

Interesting Huanggangliang Mine sample. I think it's interesting in how the two generations of Fluorite overgrew and crystallized on the Quartz matrix. The locality produces various Fluorite samples of all colours but Purple is definitely an eye catcher.

Hi Don, a very attractive bi-coloured fluorite specimen! Going by my eyes, I would say the smaller, earlier fluorites are blue; and the later deposited larger fluorites are purple.
Is that how you see it?
Thanks, Mike

Mike,

That is the way it looks to me in person. The camera didn't capture it exactly like I wanted it to but close.

Thank you for your comment.
