PostPosted: Apr 24, 2013 07:41    Post subject: New feature in FMF: now every thread can be downloaded in PDF format!!

After months of work we have created a new feature in FMF that we believe will be extremely useful. From now every thread can be downloaded in PDF format, so everybody can save their favorite posts in a standard format and print it if necessary.

The method is extermely simple: in each thread at the right is this icon and as you can see in the image below just clicking on it will cause a new window to open with the PDF document created. Please note that this icon is visible only if your are logged in, in order to allow to use its use by only FMF members.

Please note that FMF has a copyright and this is equally valid for the PDF. I mean that the PDF you generate is only for private use and cannot be published or manipulated in any way because the work of the authors should be respected.

Also, please note that IExplorer browser may not work well with this new feature, so we recommend the use of Chrome browser

Hello Jordi,

The new feature works well with Firefox (Linux) too. One might add you need to be logged-in to use this fonctionnality. When you are not, there is no icon at the top of the thread.

Cheers

While it is a minor matter in a major improvement, I noticed that when I made a PDF of my recent post on strange tourmalines, the order of the images was reversed from the order in the actual post.

Thanks for the warning Peter. It doesn't happens to me, please try with FireFox or Chrome but not with IExplorer because it doesn't works properly with that browser
