Back again,
thanks for the ideas, after some more trial and lots of error and also finding the manual override for exposure and white balance on my camera I am away again.
I will re post a couple of specimens that I have re photographed first,

A complete calcite rhomb of a very soft yellow colour 4cm on edge, sprinkled with tiny apophyllite crystals. Stilbite crystals to 4.5cm and bright green apophyllite to 5mm on the back. |

The main crystal is 3cm on edge, composed of stacked rhombahedra giving the termination a very rounded apperance. It is a soft pink colour with minor white calcite crystals surrounding it. |

True...
BTW, these Calcites are not "manganoan". When analyzed they doesn't shows manganese.
They are pink for some reason, but not by the presence of manganese.

Thank you Don,
our NZ quartz is really under appreciated, probably has to do with the fact that the quantity of material is small so it has never really been seen on the international market. I suppose that is the case with a lot of smaller deposits which are just worked by the local collectors.
