I will load many many many more photos when I get home. Jim and I are packed and ready to head out. It has been a marvelous time, we saw all our dear friends and we were delighted to win the Desautels award for best case in competition at the show, so we are floating on air!
Tucson isn't just about rocks and minerals, gemstones and fossils, it is about the People. So many characters with fun stories, so many well traveled people with fascinating lives. And I saw a side of kindness like no other when people reached out to me after having a double mastectomy just a few weeks before. Thank you all, will write more once home. Jim and I send you all our best.....and the fun continues!

Hi Gail (and Jim too).
Wow, I had no idea what you had gone through. It gives me an extra appreciation for the pink Teddy case which I had completely misconstrued. Your talk was great, and Aleta agrees with so many of the points that you made. She was nodding her head and saying 'Umhmm" throughout.
Y'all's Desautels case was magnificent. You guys have raised the bar for that particular competition, that's for sure.
Anyway, it was great to see you both there at Tucson, enjoying not just the show, but also your fellow partiicipants, It is always a pleasure to see that big old smile of yours.
Hope you found lots of new treasures and acquisitions and we all here on FMF look forward to seeing some posts of them.
