Very wonderful. If in my hands, I would turn it over, to see the yin to the yang, your call. You know, the back side. I've always found points of attachment interesting on such photogenic specimens. Fine!

Hi to everybody!
I wouldn't exclude there are both of those minerals inside the crystal! it's the quartz variety "Pink Fire Quartz"! Cabs and faceted gemstones are made with it!
Greetings from Italy by Riccardo.

Hello John. Thank you for your advice. The person who said me it is Lepidocrocite was the seller in Namibia. I attach a pic of an other crystal from Goboboseb with this kind of inclusions.
Te main crystal is 1 cm wide.

Very fine specimen.
Isn’t this a cover of muscovite (gilbertite)?
Roger.

Pink fire quartz is alleged to contain covellite and hematite, not lepidocrocite. The presence of lepidocrocite in quartz has never been verified.

Very interesting John. I have often wondered about that and have refrained from calling 'harlequin' quartz 'lepidocrocite' quartz, but hematite included quartz. The covellite inclusions are obviously the blue to metal black particles.

Thanks Roger

There is an error in my description. The Ferberite Crystals are covered, on the top and on the back, by Siderite, and over it by Calcite.
