PostPosted: Mar 07, 2015 14:13    Post subject: Richy's collection

Introduction:
I am collecting minerals since my childhood with enthusiasm. My favourites are calcite, wulfenite, Lower Austria, minerals from Alpine clefts, Hüttenberg and Bad Bleiberg in Carinthia and the ex area of the K & K monarchy of Austria. I'm also interested in crystallography and mining history.

I do not prefer any size of mineral specimens (ok, larger is better), consequently you will see photographs from macro to cabinet size. Please do not expect a high end collection with a lot of "killer specimens"!! Especially a lot of samples from Austria and from the neighbouring countries are self collected. I'm also a bloody beginner in photographing minerals, so have indulge with the quality of my photos!

Have fun and the first photos are coming soon.

Martin

Martin, go ahead and post your photos. I guess they are going to be very much appreciated. After your 111 posts I think you are already a bit late.

Thank you Pierre!

A while ago I had luck and I got this specimen from a Slovenian friend. This specimen has really a good colour for this locality. Note, the photographs are showing the real colour - no use of photo-shop, etc.

Martin
