Wow, THANK YOU for all the great photos! I don't feel so bad about not attending... all I had to do was look here!!

Actually, I have some questions:

1) are these displays actually intended for competition, like at a stamp show?
2) were there any New England themed displays? That was one reason I wanted to go to the show, but I didn't see any pics here
3) do these shows offer anything for the beginning collector, or one with a very tight budget?

These belong to the guest exhibitor, as we were a few years ago, and it is solely an act of love. Things are not for sale, but simply to share one's collecting style with the public.

If the guest special case exhibitor doesn't collect New England, then no...but others at the show who had minerals for sale had lots of New England.

Springfield has some of the lowest prices for beginner, and seasoned, mineral collectors of any show. But most shows have lots of inexpensive minerals if you take the time to look.

OH! You mean there is only one exhibitor? Wow, never heard of a "hobby" show like that! But now I understand. THANKS for the answer!

PS - can you tell I have yet to attend a mineral show?
