I saw you had a pink apatite. Be careful with it as it seems to be light sensitive. A cousin of mine has a great one which is kept in the dark. Don't know if yours is light sensitive as well.

He refers to this pink fluorapatite from Pakistan. Any experiences of such specimens losing their colour?

Thanks
Tobi

Tobi, I got some pink apatite specimens from the Nagar area many years ago and I have not noted any decrease in color.
I must say that I keep my samples in a drawer outside of direct sunlight.
Cheers.

Thanks Josele, but I rather asked for specimens kept in displays and facing light - not for drawer specimens that are kept in the dark ;-)

Hi, Tobi.

I have my specimens on some shelves on the wall at the living room because I like enjoying them daily. Of course they are preserved from direct sunlight or intense light exposures.

Among them I have a pink apatite from Pakistan Northern areas, but I haven't noticed any colour changes during several years.
