It's been a while since I posted something here. This one finished tonight.

Azurite from Kerrouchene, Morocco.

Painted using Faber-Castell Gelatos (an emollient-based water-soluble medium), and Aquarelle water-soluble coloured pencils, on paper designed for oil paint. Painted area is about 160mm tall.

Amazonite and smoky quartz, Icon Pocket, Smoky Hawk Claim, Florissant, Teller Co., Colorado - finished.

This was one of the major amazonite specimens pulled out of the Icon Pocket by Joe Dorris and his family in 2014. Reconstruction by Tim Dorris.

Painted from a photo taken by me at the 2015 Tucson Show.

Got some new paper yesterday - Yupo polypropylene. Very white and very smooth.
