West central Missouri find.

I found this little black rock in a creek. It looks like it's burnt like fusion crust would look. It doesn't set off my metal detector. I don't have a magnet. When I filed off a corner the resulting dust is whitish grey, and smells burnt.. I wouldn't say like sulfer. More like a firecracker. Anyway maybe I'm nuts but what could it be?

I'm sorry but we are not able to answer questions about meteorites. After many unpleasant experiences with meteorite inquiries on FMF we have decided that messages on meteorites are not allowed in this forum. This is a forum on minerals.
