Here's one I can't figure out.
I do not know the location of where it was found.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
David

Most probably a Midwest sedimentary geode from Indiana, Illinois or Kentucky. Most probably found in a creek bed or farm field, hence the name "field or stream geode". These are commonly quartz geodes like this one and the outer surface, which you see, looks like a cauliflower. The fresh hollow examples with secondary minerals are the ones collectors look for.

I suggest looking thru the pages of the thread on Indiana minerals in the area of "A Mineralogical Trip Thru the States of The USA" , specifically looking at the nearly identical examples of unopened geodes in that thread. BOB
