PostPosted: Oct 03, 2017 05:55    Post subject: No room for politic

Today is a sad day for me !!!
Our administrator has closed the Spanish side in protest to the political tensions in Catalonia (Spain) of which all of you are aware.
Jordi has always been proud that in this forum, there was no room for politics, closing posts when it came to the political issue.
Yesterday, Jordi has acted as the independentists do: unilaterally closing the Spanish side. In this case, he has the right to do so, because FMF is his. Likewise I believe I am within my rights, Mr “Overall coordinator of the Forum” to tell you that I do not agree with the way you have handled this matter.

From now on I won’t upload anything else in this forum of which I am a member since 2008 and I hope that Jordi apologizes for his way to proceed.

My last uploaded photo is a Spanish fluorite. I hope you enjoy it.
Greetings

Manuel Mesa

Manuel Mesa
Un orgulloso español

Hello Manuel

I think you are confused, the Spanish Forum is running properly as always since 7 hours ago and the reasons why I have had to "freeze" it temporarily were explained here: https://www.foro-minerales.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=135068#135068

I would have answered your message before but my computer broke this afternoon (Spanish time) and so far I have not got another computer with the necessary tools to do my job.

In fact this is one more of the reasons why I temporaly "freezed" the Spanish Forum. As everybody knows I have no life due the enormous amount of work that both Fora they generate, so, as said in https://www.foro-minerales.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=135068#135068 I required more help to the Spanish people due the huge charge of work that I always have.

Regards

Dear Manuel:

I deeply regret you not going to post more of the excellent photos from your nice collection.

I've known Jordi Fabre in person for about 18 years now and I'm sure he would not break any rule of the forum even being the boss. The action you're talking about was not related with political tensions, that unfortunately actually exist, but with easier to understand humanitarian reasons instead. Jordi himself, in another post, recommends to read international media to get a not biased view of what really happened that day in Catalonia.

So I kindly ask you to reconsider your decision and keep posting at FMF.

Thanks for your understanding.

As Manuel well said is not room here for the political topics so I moved and locked all the topics related with the politic in order to let clean the great topic of Manuel: Collection of Manuel Mesa

Again, and just to clarify: the Spanish Forum is full operative currently, I stopped it during 36 hours for the reasons I tried to explain here and there: for personal reasons my main helper there suddenly decided quit FMF and due my monstrous amount of work I stopped the Spanish Forum for a while requesting help due my imposibility to manage it without that help.
The requested help appeared very soon and after 36 hours of its "freezing", the Spanish Forum re-started without problems

Related with all this I believe is necessary a long discusion about both FMF, the Spanish one and even this English one. Is not reasonable consider me a kind of slave of both Fora, never having the possibility to free myself from my obligations of the enormous tasks that these two Fora carries.

After Munich and Expominer Shows I will start a thread to discuss this topic.

Hopefully it helps
