First I'd like to thank JORDI for taking notice.

I'd like to clarify my opinion of the locked thread referring especially to respondent photos.

I have absolutely nothing against a respondent's photos, but they should be of good quality, kept to a minimum, and be used only to positively verify the id of the questioned specimen.
The respondent should say something like "this is what your specimen is" rather than "could it be something like this specimen?" Imagine if 3 or 4 respondents had 2 pictures each with look-a-likes and no definitive id, I could see the thread getting cumbersome and unwieldy; lots of distracting NON-DEFINITIVE pictures with the original specimen picture getting lost in all the response pictures. That is my opinion. BOB

John, lucky you. It was a lot of nonsense about guessing what a rock was. It was getting downright tiresome.
