I have been made aware of a unique color-zoning in Rhodochrosite, loosely referred to as "Peppermint Rhodochrosite" (Photo attached). This apparently showed up as a single find exhibited at Tucson in 2013. I have no other information about this in terms of numbers of specimens available or even the locality. I'm not even totally sure it wasn't Calcite. Could someone fill me in on this oddity? Particularly any known source. I don't know the name of the exhibitor at Tucson.

Hi Bill,

I sold this specimen in Tucson several years ago in 2013. It was the best specimen from a small find and I never did see any other specimens beyond this small lot.
