When I searched to buy a nice quartz crystal for my friend valentine's gift a seller suggested this to me, "this is romantic Quartz" seller said.
But it wasn't quartz. It wasn’t Gypsum either, because of hardness more than Calcite.
Can somebody help me? |

As you suggest, there is no such thing as "romantic" quartz.
Rather than trying to establish whether this dealer is trying to sell you fakes, I would just go elsewhere. Perhaps some other dealer can convince you that what they are selling is real. |

I think Matt already said the most important thing:
Do not buy rocks from people who praise their stuff with attributes such as romantic, spiritual, healing, magical etc., this is an impostor with a high price level.
Better search for a rock & mineral dealer who offers natural stuff for collectors. There you will find for sure a beautiful quartz crystal. Maybe not a "romantic" one, but it will be quartz. |
