I found this in the Oatman, Arizona area which is in Northwest Arizona and I'm curious to know what it is.

It certainly looks like quartz. Some people loosely refer to this as alligator quartz.

In the UK we would identify this as the variety of Quartz called Cairngorm, named after the Cairngorm Mountains in Scotland.

It's smoky quartz with the crystals in parallel growth.
