A bunch of "Meißelspat" baryte from famous Clara Mine in Black Forest. Has some small dings, but is nevertheless an interesting and impressive specimen: While most of such barytes are simply grey or brown, this one changes from blue at the bottom to red on the crystal top.

PostPosted: Jun 09, 2012 07:00    Post subject: Re: Collection of Tobias Martin

Trying to improve my skills in mineral photography, i will continue from time to time with close-ups of specimens. Here's one of a smoky quartz on feldspar from Namibia
https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?p=20210#20210)

BTW: Could anyone please correct the locality in the old post to the one given here? I got the information on Mindat that the exact locality is not known and thus can't be certainly allocated to a farm there.

Thanks!

Locality corrected.
