thank you! I agree that my photos improved a lot ... maybe not because they're so good but more because the older ones were so bad ;-)

First specimen in 2014:

Double-terminated crystals of golden yellow quartz ("Eisenkiesel") with white calcite. From Alme near Brilon in Sauerland, Germany. What you can't see in the picture: The whole specimen is the top of a once large calcite scalenohedron that was covered with the iron-stained yellow quartz.
