I was so pleased that art, mineral art in particular, was the theme of the evening. I have been a lover of art since a young girl. My history is one of owning, and operating, an art gallery and picture framing shop. I worked at six galleries before taking the plunge and opening mine many years ago. ( I am now retired, but still miss it. )
I raised my two daughters in the shop, and they both enjoy art and one is an incredible artist in her own right having won many ribbons at the age of 9...her work rivaled adults. Art is very much appreciated by many around the world and tonight gave us such a great chance to visit with, and see the works of such talented people.

...Hmmm. How to explain this...
Aisha and Ginny are two dear friends who are ...well...SHORT. I am 5 foot 9 inches tall and they are NOT. When I was standing behind them for a photo I realized that I was looking at the top of their heads so I thought it would be fun to REALLY accent the difference by standing on a chair and make it look like I am super tall. Well, we did and the three of us were laughing so hard after that we had tears in our eyes!!!
