Hi,

We have improved the forum image attachment system, so now the Fabre Minerals server who will adjust the image to the best size automatically. So from now on, if your photo is too wide, you won't need to adjust the image size using image software such as Photoshop or Paint, just send the image to the forum, and it will adjust the image to a maximum of 600x600 pixels, so it'll use between 30kbyte and 60kbyte while maintaining the highest quality possible.

The only limits are the kind of images (only JPG and GIF are accepted) and the size that it shouldn't be bigger than 4 MB for every photo sent, this is usually enough to send a 10 Megapixels photographs at high quality. If you send images larger than 1Mb you'll need to be patient, as sending is usually slower than receiving on most of the Internet connections (cable, DSL,...)

This improvement is a first step to create a ‘mineral exchange’ system as we explained some time ago in the Spanish forum. Coming soon, we will start up this new system.

Is there (or will there be anytime soon) a way to replace a photo by another of better quality without reseting the view counter? Provided you have the permission to edit messages.
