Thanks a lot, Tobias. Thanks for sharing the interesting activities of the Museum of Marburg. A friend of mine is always insisting on travelling to the heart of the mineralogical Europe: The Alps. I will mail him this thread, so that he can enjoy it.

Greetings

Tobias!!! You Na'vi rascal! Thanks for the photos of the show. It makes us appreciative of the work the strahlers have undergone to bring these beautiful specimens to market. Keep 'em coming.

But surely, Tobias, there must be some unobtanium there, also?

Last but not least a specimen which is "alpine" not by the geographical but by geological meaning (but nobody will complain about this being a part of the exhibition, i think): A glowing 10 cm emerald sculpture from Pakistan. (Sorry for the fuzzy picture.)

Ed, thank you for appreciating the last few treasures of your dying world, earthling ;-)

Jesse, sure there was some. But you know the market value of it ... too much for the museum's budget ;-)

Your are right about the hematite from Mörchnerkar ( https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/files/haematit_moerchnerkar_695.jpg ) it is incredible. Of course I like many of these pieces; thank you for posting them. And the one just beneath it is very fine as well.
