Description: A hardly unknown locality for barytes is the Piesberg sandstone quarry, Osnabrück, Lower Saxony. The picture shows white plates up to 1 cm on quartz layer in sandstone (a 2001 find). Even pale blue crystals have been found. However, the quarry is far more reputated among fossil collectors.
