Description: Mass: 674 g
MIM number:1909
Block of tabular azurite crystals (the largest measuring 2.2 cm) covered on one side with elongated cylindrical groups made of emerald green microcrystals of arsentsumebite creating a beautiful contrast. The arsentsumebite results from an epimorphous growth on mimetite that was dissolved at a later stage. This is one of the best known samples of this rare mineral, which is both arsenate and sulphate.
