Mineral: Quartz (variety smoky quartz)
Locality: Fedenstock, Fellital (Felli Valley), Reuss Valley, Uri, Switzerland
Dimensions: 13 x 9 x 11 cm / main crystal: 10.3 cm
Description: Mass: 705 g
MIM number:1940
Slab covered with slightly smoky and transparent quartz, with a large, very sculptural “gwindel” perched in the middle. The torsion angle of this gwindel is very apparent. The slab seems to have been detached a long time ago in the cleft in which it was found as evidenced by the recrystallization of quartz and adularia on its edges and bottom.
