Description: Mass: 19 g MIM number: 2001 Complete, sharp and translucent crystal with a transparent top whose color varies from periwinkle to purple depending on the nature of the lighting. The bottom of the crystal contains traces of graphite, which is a classic marker of the Merelani mines. It is unusual to find such a well-formed crystal of this size for this rare variety of axinite.
