Mineral: Siderite on Hematite
Locality: Sterling Mine, Antwerp, Jefferson County, New York, USA
Dimensions: 9.1 x 7.4 x 4.0 cm

Description: Sharp, rhombic crystals of rich honey-brown colored siderite measuring up to 5 mm covering the top of a reddish-black hematite matrix. The old iron mine dates to 1836 and was last worked in 1910.
