Locality: Molina de Aragón, Comarca Molina-Alto Tajo, Guadalajara, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain
Dimensions: 5 x 5 x 3,3 cm.
Description: Aragonite is a high pressure polymorph of calcium carbonate. Therefore, it occurs in high pressure metamorphic rocks such as those formed in subduction zones. The main crystal is 1,2 x 1,9 cm. Nice color.
